How we build

DB Labs is a small independent studio. We ship one app at a time and keep each one narrow enough that it does its job without a tutorial. Three rules shape everything we release.

Processing stays on the device. Swype Photo Cleaner never uploads a photo. Your camera roll is read locally, decisions happen locally, and deletions go through Apple's own Photos framework. There is no server to breach because there is no server holding your images. That also means no account, no sign-up, and nothing to cancel.

Speed is a feature. Reviewing a camera roll in the stock Photos app means tapping into a grid, judging, backing out, and repeating. Swiping is a faster gesture for a binary decision, which is why a few thousand photos becomes an evening rather than a project.

Deletions are reversible. Anything you remove goes to Recently Deleted and sits there for 30 days, exactly as it would if you deleted it by hand. Nothing is destroyed the moment you swipe, so a mistake costs you a tap to undo. Worth remembering that storage is not reclaimed until that album is emptied.

What we are not

We do not sell a storage subscription, and we will not tell you that an app can expand your iPhone's capacity, because on iOS nothing can. We do not run ads against your library or ask for contacts, location, or an email address. If a cleanup app wants an account before it will show you your own photos, that is worth questioning.

If you would rather do this without any app at all, our complete iPhone storage guide covers the manual route, and the free calculators need no download. We would rather you solve the problem than install something.
